This can be a cost effective way of prolonging the life of an organ and improving the speech and reliability of the instrument.
Washing pipes and adjusting speech means regular tuning becomes easier and of a higher standard. In addition, replacing or repairing tuning flaps on front pipes, and where necessary ears, ensures these are also easier to tune. All this adds to the efficiency and accuracy of tuning in the regular round of tunings.
