Pipe Organ Builders & Restorers

We have a large quantity of pipework for sale, more than 200 ranks, and this is currently being fully catalogued, detailed and photographed. Most of our stock is now mainly fluework, however new stock arrives from time to time, and we have several contacts who can source material that we need for our work or for clients.

The pipework comes from many builders, Walker, Willis, Nicholson, Norman & Beard, Compton, and numerous less well known builders. Much of it is of extremely high quality, although all of great use for restoration, rebuilding and new organs. Most types of stops are available.

We will clean and round out before shipping, any pipes needing more significant work will be charged at cost on top of the goods, unless otherwise agreed. Pipes will be boxed in wooden boxes or crates (at cost), and made available for collection or delivery (at a charge) or for shipping, or sending by courier (our experience is there is a risk of damage involved in this method.)

Tuba, 8’

I am now selling this Tuba rank, 61 notes, as the intended project no longer needs it. It was removed from a church in Nuneaton about nine years ago. The organ, an installation in the 1970’s comprised material from various sources and when we removed it the organ was not playing and the console had been removed.

I am led to believe it might be a Compton cinema organ Tuba, although I have no proof, and as it was not installed as an extended rank there is no way to be sure. The bass pipes, originally placed on top of the Swell box suffered from some damage being badly supported so some restoration is needed.

Price: £3,000 OIRO.

I have a 16’ bass octave made of wood which came from the same organ, however, this was almost certainly not from the same original instrument. Price negotiable.
